2020 SEVERE WEATHER PREPAREDNESS WEEK
It's day three of Georgia's Severe Weather Preparedness Week and serves as a reminder to all residents to review your emergency procedures and preparation kits for any future weather-related storm hazards this season.
BlueKey wants to encourage all of our friends and neighbors to prepare now.
Make sure you and your family have a severe weather plan in place - including a safe spot in your home or at work and a kit that contains basic supplies that could sustain you for several days if the power goes out.
Put as many walls in between you and the outside as you can, and try to go to the lowest level in the center of your home or building, like a first-floor bathroom.
Basic Supply Kits Should Include:
-
Water (One gallon per person per day for at least 3 days)
-
Food (3 day supply of non-perishable food items)
-
Batteries
-
First Aid Kit
-
Flashlight
-
Portable Phone Charger
-
Prescription Medications
-
Basic Hand Tools
-
Weather Radio
Also, don't forget your pets! Pets are part of the family too, so be sure to add in extra food and water for them.
